Kat von D Beauty came to London at exactly the right time. Her collection launched at Debenhams only a couple of days before Bon Jovi brought us to town and I couldn't have been more excited. Kat von D beauty is my favourite make-up brand by far. They are the company that makes the one foundation that matches my skin tone perfectly, they are the best at eyeliners, contour powders, eye shadows and do amazing lip products as well. Needless to say that we made the most of the opportunity and spent a little too much money while we were at it. So here is, a little later than expected, a closer look at everything I bought at the (then) brand-new KvD counter in London.
First of all I stocked up on the Lock it foundation that I tried and fell in love with a year ago and literally lasted me as long even though I used it almost every day of the week. It comes in a lot of different shades, and she launched even more recently as well, and after comparing a lot of swatches online I decided to give 46L(ight) a try. It turned out to be closest to an exact match as I will probably ever able to find. The coverage is amazing as well, you only need the tiniest amount to cover your entire face and neck and it stays on forever. Rebuying this (in new packaging but in the exact same formula thankfully) was a no-brainer.

And because I am such a fan of the foundation I also decided to try the Lock It concealer and Lock It loose powder. Both turned out to be absolutely amazing. The concealer coverage is unreal and the powder apparently is lighter than other popular ones so it blends in better with liquid products and I have to admit I prefer this one over my beloved Laura Mercier one now.
Another thing I repurchased is the Tattoo liner in Trooper as this too is one of those products that you cannot live without once you tried it. I think this is common knowledge by now though so I'm just going to leave it at that and have you find out for yourself if you ever get the chance.
Last but not least I of course couldn't leave without a lipstick. I already have a couple, bought in New York and Toronto on previous trips, and knew they are amazing so I went for a deep red liquid lipstick that is very fittingly called Nosferatu. It's gorgeous and comfortable and long-lasting. What else could you wish for?
All in all it is probably needless to say that I am really enjoying these products and I'm always raving about them and recommending the brand to everyone who wants to hear it. I'm also very happy to see that the brand is expanding which makes it a little less impossible to get your hands on now with counters in London and Barcelona and the one in Sephora Paris that will follow early next year. (Only one month after we will be there but you can't have it all I guess...) I'm still hoping my own little country will follow at some point but in the meantime you can of course always order KvD products on the Sephora website.
Trust me, you won't regret it!
xx Anjelica
