current make-up essentials

I love experimenting with make-up as much as the next make-up lover. I definitely don't need a special occasion to go out with red glossy eyelids or a bright purple lip. However, I do have my essentials that I end up using for almost every single look. Non of these are very original products or groundbreaking discoveries but for me, the combination of these products is the perfect base for whatever look I am going for.

Nivea for men after shave balm - The holy discovery by queen Nikkie that made all other primers useless. Well, maybe not really but I have yet to find a primer that works better for me. Man this stuff is amazing. And cheap. And amazing for cheap is something all of us make-up lovers would die for.

Kat von D contour palette - Once you go Kat you can't go back. I plan on doing an entire blogpost about her products because they're all brilliant but this has to be my favourite one out of them all. Ever since I started using it I have a constant fear of hitting pan and having to go without it for a while because it's not easy to get your hands on over here and I'm not sure how I will live. Good thing it lasts forever though. It's smooth as butter and gives you cheekbones for days without even really having to know what you're doing.  I'm serious, get this while you can.

Laura Mercier loose setting powder in translucent - I swear to God, use this in combination with the after shave balm and you can sweat and shower all you want without your make-up coming off. Well, not really maybe, but my make-up has never looked this good before. It's expensive but it lasts forever en you only need a tiny bit, even for baking.

Maybelinne Lash Sensational Intense Black mascara -  Can't compete with Chanel, can't compete with Mac or YSL Babydoll. I'm all about this mascara and it's drugstore. What else can I say about it?

fix + - I use this stuff for everything. I dampen my Beautyblender with it to set my powder, I spray it on my brushes, it works wonders in combination with Anastasia's Dipbrow (while we're at it, that is also on my list) and then when I'm done I obvioulsy set my entire face with it too. I have to say I haven't tried any other setting sprays yet so I can't compare it too other brands but that also just shows how amazing this stuff is. Can't and won't go a day without it. Needless to say that I was very happy to have find it's tiny, hand luggage proof child in Toronto, too. That is what I am talking about Mac!

So these are all the things I use on almost every make-up look. I'd love to hear if there are any products that you guys can't go without. Let me know!

Love, Anjelica
