March Favourites (Valentino, MAC, Anastasia and more)

March turned out to be a good month for rediscovering old favourites and finding new ones. I happened to come across a perfume that quickly became one of my favourites ever, found a cute little bag during a disappointing trip to Amsterdams new Primark and finally managed to get a new spring coat. Read about all of it below.

VALENTINO DONNA
I absolutely fell in love with this fragrance the moment I tried it on in the store and knew I had to have it. It's probably not for everyone because it's quite a heavy scent but I adore it. It's floral and has notes of vanilla, bergamot and patchouli which is probably one of my favourite scents. I've worn this fragrance a lot since I got it and received many compliments.  It's definitely worth checking out.

MAC PRO LONGWEAR CONCEALER
An old favorite that I rediscovered after trying many different concealers. Some of them were good but most of them just don't live up to my expectations. I am a shade NW15 and the concealer seems a bit lighter on me than their foundations in this shade which is perfect for highlighting. It goes on smoothly and stays on forever. The only downside is that the pump is a little hard to control so you always get a full pump of product while you don't really need to use that much.

MAC CHILI LIPSTICK
I discovered a lovely muted orange/red in the Anastasia Beverely Hills lip palette (#4) and started wearing it a lot but since the purpose of the lip palette is getting creative and mixing your own colours and I didn't just want to use that one plain colour and risk hitting pan because of it so I went to the MAC counter and fount myself a great dupe.

PRIMARK EMBROIDERED BAG
Primark recently opened their first shop in Amsterdam so when Karen and I were in Amsterdam the other month we stopped by to have a look. I have to say it was rather disappointing (isn't it always) but I did pick up this cute little embroidered bag that is perfect for concerts and can hold so much more than you'd think.

MONKI DENIM JACKET
Spring and summer coats are always such a struggle for me but they are definitely essential in the Netherlands because days where you can go out without one are pretty rare. I never really know what I like and what suits my style though so denim jackets are usually the answer. This black denim oversized jacket is my new favourite as it goes with everything and the material is so soft and comfortable. Love it. (And if black isn't for you they also do it in blue).

ANASTASIA BEVERELY HILLS BROWBRUSH #12
I used to use my MAC 263 brush to do my eyebrows every single day but I eventually found it was a little too big to be able to do the job so I splurged on this Anastasia brush and it has changed my eyebrow game for good. This brush is so much easier to use and it's perfect for doing tiny lines and drawing on extra hairs. It was definitely worth the money.

What were your favourite products of the month?

xx Anjelica
